Finance Business Partner Department

Location Finance / London or Reading, mobile 

Reports to Head of Finance People responsibility 0

Rate of pay Full time, permanent basis £40,000 - £45,000 a year with study support (ACCA / CIMA) 

Overall Objectives

. Support Operations & Sales teams in delivering financial performance in contracts and work with the Head of Finance to create a suitable financial control environment. Key responsibilities  

 • Identifying underperforming contracts & supporting operations teams with improvement plans • Manage budgeting process for Operations and help with the identification of actions needed to deliver 

• Support Operations Directors in monthly trading process 

• General Ledger accounting experience to include month end responsibilities & balance sheet reconciliations • Initial investment appraisal with sales and/or operations in the bid process of new business or retention deals 

• Preparation of month-end reports & accurate forecasts 

• Debt reporting • Support the audit process during relevant audit periods 

• Training of operational teams in financial concepts & rules 

Works closely with  BM Finance team ,Operations Managers & Directors , Location Managers and Central WSH Finance teams 

Knowledge required 

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a management accounting role or a finance role working in a service company 

• Experience of managing both the balance sheet and P&L of a business Skills and qualifications 

• Part or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification 

• Strong MS Excel skills
