The Role:

The Marketing & PR Manager will lead the execution of marketing campaigns and public relations efforts to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth for SUSHISAMBA’s North American locations, with a primary focus on the upcoming Los Angeles opening.

This role requires a strategic, results-driven professional with expertise in luxury hospitality, F&B, and lifestyle marketing. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly across operations, sales, external agencies, and corporate marketing. The ideal candidate will have the ability to steer brand growth through innovative storytelling, media outreach, digital marketing, and strategic partnerships while effectively managing projects and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing and PR campaigns for the SUSHISAMBA LA launch and ongoing initiatives across North America, ensuring alignment with the brand’s overall positioning and long-term objectives.
  • Implement marketing strategies across digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and paid media, to enhance brand visibility and drive traffic to SUSHISAMBA U.S. locations.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all marketing communications, including website content, social media, e-blasts, press releases, and printed collateral, ensuring all materials reflect the brand’s identity and integrity.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align key messaging, creative direction, and promotional plans for the U.S. market.
  • Support the development of promotional materials, including digital assets, print collateral, and media kits, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Schedule and manage all film and photo shoots for the location and maintain an organized database of assets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to refine marketing strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage marketing budgets effectively, making ROI-driven decisions to maximize impact.

Public Relations & Communications:

  • Oversee and manage external PR and marketing agencies to enhance brand reputation and media presence for North America outlets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media, journalists, influencers, and industry partners to generate positive press and coverage.
  • Work closely with agencies and internal writers to craft compelling press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials.
  • Monitor media coverage, track PR results, and compile regular reports on press activities and brand sentiment.

Event & Partnership Management:

  • Develop and execute brand activations, events, and strategic collaborations to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify and manage partnership opportunities and community engagement to strengthen brand positioning.
  • Coordinate and oversee press events, influencer activations, and VIP experiences to engage media, local communities, and key industry players.

Digital & Social Media Leadership:

  • Lead the social media strategy and content creation for U.S. channels, ensuring a modern, engaging, and innovative digital presence.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, SEO/SEM, and paid media, to drive both local and national traffic.
  • Work closely with the digital team to drive engagement and audience growth.
  • Utilize data analytics to track and optimize campaign performance and marketing spend.

Administrative:

  • Collaborate with culinary and graphic teams to ensure menus are properly formatted, edited, and approved by the corporate team.
  • Manage and update website content and 3rd party platforms (Google, TripAdvisor, etc.) for all SUSHISAMBA U.S. locations.
  • Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, social media metrics, and PR efforts to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Develop fact sheets, memos, and recap reports for all marketing and PR activations.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, or brand management within hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Proven success in launching new locations or brands, particularly in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong network of media contacts and industry partners.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing agencies, partners, and cross-functional teams.
