Swig Drinks is looking for a FP&A Associate who will be joining the Finance team and work in a high performing environment with skilled, friendly and dedicated colleagues, whose mission is to structure, analyze, model and forecast Swigs activity and financials. Your role will be to produce reliable and insightful financial data, robust financial modeling in Excel and build reports in order to ensure Swigs financial health and growth. You will act as a business partner to all managers across the organization and will have ad hoc financial modeling requests from multiple layers within the executive team. 


The Financial Planning & Analysis Associate will report to the Controller. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Analyze key performance indicators, especially revenue, cost of sales, labor, operations expenses and capital expenditures

  • Develop financial models and decision making tools

  • Provide strategic insights and conclusions based on this analysis

  • Guide planning and resource management e.g. headcount, investment approvals etc. for specific projects within Swig, including development of financial forecasts and capex projects

  • Identify initiatives for improvement of Swigs financial outlook, including developing, tracking and executing business initiatives with Swigs leadership and executive team.

  • Support the consolidation and analysis of Swigs monthly reporting of KPIs and financials for the various leadership teams

  • Produce investor reports and presentations

  • Build company-wide budgets and conduct quarterly reviews in close collaboration with all managers across the organization 

  • Constantly improve Swigs financial tools, processes and dashboards to steer our analysis towards impact and action

  • Formulate strategic recommendations to increase our revenues and optimize our costs, and closely follow checkpoints of our company objectives
  • Strong computer proficiency; Excellent in MS Office applications
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong problem solver and critical thinker

  • Strong computer proficiency; Excellent in MS Office applications

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Understanding of restaurant and or retail operations and processes a plus

  • Entrepreneurial with balance of strategic and operational logic

  • Innovative and creative

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Two plus years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Consulting, Auditing, and or M&A

  • Prior experience in startup, scale up and or emerging growth brands exceeding annual revenue ranging from 10M-100M

  • Strong grasp of business and financial statements:P&L ownership, Cash-flow and Balance Sheet understanding

  • Outstanding analytical skills, agile and hands-on, high attention to detail, committed to making an impact

  • High level command of Excel and knowledge of building financial modeling from scratch 

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • 2+ years experience in retail or hospitality environments, preferably in fast casual food and beverage industry

outside in various weather conditions. Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state. Must disclose prescribed pharmaceuticals and/or OT that may impair or affect the ability to perform the job's  essential functions. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
