Description
The VP of Supply Chain at Swig ensures the alignment of purchasing strategies and processes with Swig’s overall strategic direction, financial objectives, and guest experience. This role oversees the strategy and resources to support the production, procurement, and distribution of all essential items, ensuring efficient logistics and inventory management nationwide.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Align supply chain strategies with Swig’s business goals and guest experience standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain plans to support growth and efficiency.
- Lead procurement of food and beverage, packaging, equipment, and supplies.
- Develop supply chain models for new markets and manage international supply programs.
- Ensure cost-effective nationwide product delivery across the U.S. and Canada.
- Develop systems to manage and review inventory levels.
- Apply logistics strategies for efficient product movement.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
- Oversee contract negotiations and performance monitoring.
- Respond to demand changes and supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with Finance to forecast supply chain costs.
- Manage adherence to the annual operating plan and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Oversee inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and transportation functions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications preferred.
- 10+ years in supply chain management, with a focus on improving operations and reducing costs.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry, especially with Sysco.
- Domestic and international market experience, including distribution across the U.S. and Canada.
- Ability to forecast and demand plan products effectively.
- Experience managing a robust supply chain with monthly Limited Time Offers (LTOs) and expanding distribution to new territories monthly.
