Description

The Construction Manager must work effectively both in the office and in the field. The CM works with architects, engineers, and landlords throughout this process to ensure that construction design standards and  lease terms are accurately being delivered. The CM communicates relevant information regarding  new construction projects with the internal Restaurant Operations, People Operations, Facilities Management, Real Estate, Design, and Finance teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Project Management:  Coordinate and manage the entire construction process from initial LOI (Letter of Intent) through Shop Opening, adhering to  the company's system for project management (planning, permitting, bidding, construction, & project closeout). 
  • Budgeting: Responsible for construction budgets and managing all financial aspects of the project. 
  • Resource Management: Qualify and develop outsourced GCs, Subs, suppliers, and vendors; implement processes to  manage these resources and conduct performance evaluations successfully. 
  • Best Practices: As part of the Development Team, your input is valued and encouraged. There will be open collaboration with the Director of Development and other team members to ensure high standards, implement best practices, to better understand / track construction timelines, costs and deliverables. Be an active and engaged participant at the table by bringing ideas, suggestions, and solutions. 
  • Brand Identity: Cultivate and protect brand identity by assuring the quality of fit and finish, specifications and standards, sign standards, color scheme and pre-opening marketing efforts. 
  • Vendor Management: Ensure outside vendors' compliance concerning billing, payments, submission of required  documents, and all construction-related documentation during construction. 
  • Document Management: Ensure all construction documentation is complete and accurate, all change orders are  vetted and documented, and maintain up-to-date reports and construction drawings by communicating  relevant changes in the field back to the design team.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (or specialized equivalent); experience can be substituted for a college education in many instances
  • 5+ years as a Project Manager in a construction-related field; 
  • To better serve the Swig brand, we prefer that you be located in the following markets: Utah, or Arizona.
  • Demonstrated knowledge / skill in construction project management.
  • Computer skills including Google Office, Microsoft Office and other database systems.
  • Results-driven and Partnership oriented
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time or as directed to establish and maintain relationships in targeted markets, and establish yourself as a brand representative in the industry.
