Our Therapist role

As a Swim Club Therapist, you’ll deliver high quality treatments with our sustainably sourced, natural and ethical products, whilst creating a warm and attentive experience for every guest.

Reporting to our Swim Club Manager, you’ll have excellent communication skills and experience within a professional treatment environment.

You’ll also be a team-player with warmth and creativity, passionate about being part of a community that promotes a work-life balance, and an advocate for our Watergate Bay Hotel brand.

This is a part-time position offered on a zero-hours contract.

What you’ll be responsible for

Delivering a wide range of beauty treatments to the standards defined by the Swim Club Manager, within the period specified. To include, but not limited to:

• A range of massages (please note we have a massage limit of a maximum of 4 hours each day).
• A range of facials, manicures, pedicures, and any other treatments required.

You’ll also

Deliver a range of beauty treatments to the standards defined by the Swim Club Manager, within the period specified. To include, but not limited to:

• Discussing the treatment list with guests, giving professional advice where needed.
• Ensuring all customer feedback is passed on to the Swim Club manager.
• Helping to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests and adhere to the hotel’s health and safety policy and procedures.
• Keeping treatment rooms clean and tidy, to the required standards, at all times.
• Ensuring all the utensils and equipment are sterilised after every treatment.
• Managing bookings effectively to ensure that any changes are taken into account, meeting the ever-changing needs of our guests.

What we’re looking for

• NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or an equivalent qualification such as BTEC or ITEC Level 3
• Additional qualifications in hot stone massage, reflexology, pregnancy massage, oncology massage or other holistic therapies are desirable but not essential
• A friendly, enthusiastic and approachable manner
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding customer care and a genuine focus on guest experience
• Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion at all times
• Trustworthy with a high level of integrity
• Excellent attention to detail
• Reliable, accountable and punctual
• A natural multitasker who can manage competing priorities
• Self motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative
