Job Description

Thai Chili 2Go is a rapidly growing fast-casual restaurant concept offering made from scratch Thai food with the amazing WOK style cooking and fresh, high-quality food. We are building a strong team for our future and want individuals passionate about great food with a strong attention to detail and follow through to come and ignite success with us! We are looking for a talented trainer with a history of training kitchen staff members to follow recipes and adhere to strict sanitation guidelines.

To excel in this role, you should be passionate about customer service and enjoy working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Successful applicants should be able to work during the week, and over weekends and public holidays. Travel will be a must. 

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a part of the training team for new locations. Will travel up to 2 weeks in a row per opening.
  • Provide hands-on training and operational support in guest service, product quality, food safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits to assess compliance with brand standards and operational efficiency, offering guidance for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a resource for General Managers to troubleshoot operational challenges and implement best practices.
  • Communicate updates on company policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist the Director of training in store setup and organization during the build out phase. 
  • Track performance metrics of trainees to make sure we have a fully trained team in our stores to run the restaurant to the proper standards.
  • Provide expertise and direct support in opening new locations, ensuring a smooth and efficient launch process.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in cooking and restaurant operations with a focus on training
  • Has to have cook-to-order experience
  • Experience in opening new stores and the ability to assist in operational execution.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in training facilitation, onboarding, and developing educational materials.
  • High level of organization, adaptability, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to travel extensively as needed with potential of two weeks at a time for new restaurant openings.

Qualifications

  • Experience in training roles preferred.
  • Experience in casual dining, full -service dining or scratch cooking operations preferred.
  • Background in restaurant openings, training program development highly desirable.
  • Minimum three to five years of restaurant leadership experience
  • Certification in Food Safety

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, and move freely throughout restaurant locations.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. and using restaurant equipment as needed.
  • Ability to travel regularly to locations for openings and additional training
