Job Summary
As a Security Host, the primary responsibility is to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment that allows guests, staff, and vendors to fully enjoy the restaurant’s fine dining experience at our establishment. This role serves as a visible presence at the front of the venue, proactively monitoring guest flow, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns, and ensuring all interactions are handled with professionalism, discretion, and hospitality. Security Hosts play a key role in supporting operations by balancing guest experience with safety standards while upholding the brand’s established service expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform security, protective, and enforcement duties in a courteous, calm, and professional manner while responding to emergencies, disruptive behavior, and potential threats to guests, staff, and property
Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the restaurant to identify and address safety concerns or undesirable conditions
Assess situations quickly and make logical decisions while maintaining composure under pressure
Assist with investigations by evaluating situations, gathering information, interviewing complainants and witnesses, and involving appropriate personnel as needed
Complete accurate documentation and incident reports in a timely and professional manner
Maintain order throughout the venue while remaining attentive to the needs of guests, staff, and vendors
Support safety and security controls for live entertainment, special events, or performance-related activities within the venue
Coordinate prompt and effective responses to emergency situations, including fire alarms, safety hazards, and threats to life or property, using a calm and rational approach
Address violations of company policy, local regulations, and unacceptable conduct in a professional and respectful manner
Offer accurate information and directions to guests, staff, and vendors, including hours of operation and venue policies
Receive, log, secure, and manage found property, and assist with researching and responding to lost property inquiries
Escort guests and staff to parking areas or other locations as required to ensure safety
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
Possess valid state-required security credentials or licenses
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum of two years of experience in a role involving direct guest interaction
Strong verbal, written, and basic technology skills required
Ability to perform general clerical tasks using Microsoft Office and site-specific systems
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and remain on feet for the duration of shifts
Demonstrated strong observation and situational awareness with attention to detail throughout each shift
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 150 pounds
Previous experience as a hospitality security guard or officer preferred
Experience providing high-end or luxury customer service strongly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Open availability required seven (7) days per week, including mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
