We are seeking a dependable, guest-focused Floor Manager / Shift Supervisor to oversee restaurant operations during assigned shifts. This role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring excellent service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. The Floor Manager acts as the point of contact for employees and guests, stepping in to resolve issues and ensure smooth service flow.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support front-of-house staff during shifts.
Deliver outstanding guest service; resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain smooth communication and service.
Oversee and verify opening, shift-change, and closing procedures.
Monitor dining room cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
Coach and train new and existing staff members during shifts.
Manage breaks, shift changes, and task assignments to ensure coverage.
Maintain awareness of sales goals and labor costs during shifts.
Report shift notes, guest concerns, and staff performance feedback to management.
Step in to assist staff with service tasks when needed.
Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the restaurant industry preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume service environments.
Skilled in conflict resolution and guest recovery.
Familiarity with restaurant operations and POS systems.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Comfortable working in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
