Weekend and weekday availability is required, including mornings and closing shifts.

Tahini is hiring a career-minded Shift Lead who wants to grow into an Assistant Manager role. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who wants more than a temporary restaurant job and is ready to take ownership of the guest experience, team performance, and day-to-day operations.

You will start by learning how to run strong shifts, coach the team, maintain food quality, and execute our operating standards. As you prove yourself, you will take on more responsibility in scheduling, inventory, hiring, training, and cost control with a clear path toward Assistant Manager.

·       Starting base pay: $20/hour for Shift Leads

·       Typical total earnings: $20-$24/hour including tips

·       Assistant Managers start at $23/hour + tips

·       Maintain high standards for food quality, portioning, cleanliness, and organization

·       Keep breaks, staffing, and shift flow on track

·       Handle opening and closing responsibilities, including cash and register procedures

·       Support training and development of new team members and future shift leaders

·       Learn scheduling, inventory management, ordering, and cost control

·       Partner with management on hiring, culture, and team performance

·       Take on increasing responsibility as you grow toward Assistant Manager

·       Are looking for a long-term career in restaurant leadership, not just a temporary role

·       Are dependable, organized, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership

·       1-3 years of restaurant, fast-casual, or hospitality experience

·       Previous experience leading shifts or small teams

·       Experience with POS systems, cash handling, inventory, or scheduling is a plus

·       Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts

·       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

·       Food Handler Card or willingness to obtain one

·       Availability for weekday and weekend shifts, including mornings and closing shifts
