Cleaner / Housekeeper

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-focused Cleaner / Housekeeper to help us maintain exceptional standards across both our public spaces and guest accommodation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

This is a key role in ensuring our pub looks its best at all times, while also delivering high-quality housekeeping standards for our guest rooms.

• Maintain outstanding cleanliness across the restaurant, bar, and all public areas
• Clean and sanitise tables, floors, surfaces, and washrooms regularly
• Take ownership of guest room housekeeping, ensuring rooms are spotless, well-presented, and guest-ready
• Make beds, change linens, clean bathrooms, vacuum, dust, and restock amenities to a high standard
• Carry out room checks to ensure consistency and attention to detail
• Ensure corridors, entrances, and shared spaces are clean, tidy, and welcoming
• Follow all procedures for the safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Manage waste and recycling in line with company standards
• Report any maintenance issues or health & safety concerns promptly
• Complete all tasks efficiently within agreed cleaning schedules

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone who takes real pride in creating clean, comfortable, and welcoming spaces
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (hotel, pub with rooms, or similar) is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
• A positive, proactive attitude
• Good time management and the ability to work to deadlines (e.g. room turnaround times)
• Flexibility to work early mornings and support busy periods
