Assistant Kitchen Manager – Second-in-Command & Team Developer

As Assistant Kitchen Manager at Tucanos, you’re more than a right hand—you’re a daily mentor, motivator, and coach for your team. Working side-by-side with the Kitchen Manager, you’ll lead by example while ensuring that our high standards of preparation, presentation, and pace are met every shift.

You’ll take ownership of onboarding and training, helping team members sharpen their skills, understand expectations, and take pride in their roles. Whether you’re running the line, offering a timely correction, or building confidence in a new cook, your guidance helps create a kitchen culture of accountability, support, and growth.

What We’re Looking For:

  • - Previous kitchen leadership experience with a focus on training and development

  • - A mentor’s mindset with the ability to coach in the moment

  • - Deep understanding of food safety, prep standards, and line execution

  • - A proactive, positive communicator with strong follow-through

  • - Focused on cleanliness, consistency, and team success

  • - Organized and eager to grow into a future Kitchen Manager role
