Overall Purpose:
The remit of the role is to develop and implement sales and marketing activity for the Tenpin estate to drive sales and grow revenue. And to manage and develop the Tenpin brand to grow loyalty and customer engagement.
· Develop activity and solutions to support and deliver the overall marketing strategy through offline and online channels.
· Managing external agencies and suppliers to ensure that offline and online activity is delivered to the highest standards, to deadlines, within budget and within the constraints of the business.
· Main activities will include project management for multi channel, national and local campaigns, including briefing, creation, implementation, sign off and management of all activity; managing the marketing agencies (responsible for the brand, all design/creative, SEO, PPC, Social Media, etc.), print suppliers, and working closely with the CRM agency; responsibility for the Marketing departmental budget; management of the Marketing Executive.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management
· Ensure the Tenpin brand is managed and developed in line with appropriate insight and business requirements.
· Work closely with the Operations Team and Site Managers to ensure that marketing, communications, and branding needs are met and managed effectively.
· Ensure the brand is being used correctly internally at head office by various departments.
· Creative campaign management – work with the design and digital agencies to create a suite of collateral, on brand and across products.
National Campaign Management
· Manage the annual calendar of key campaigns online and offline – School Holidays and Christmas, plus any adhoc campaigns that need developing in line with business needs.
· Lead on creative briefs and projects through copywriting, creative development, copy editing and proof-reading, both online and offline.
· Planning, implementation, and management of campaigns.
· Managing external suppliers and agencies to ensure high quality design and production of campaign deliverables.
· Ensure all campaigns are fully integrated/cross channel by working with the marketing agency, the CRM agency, printers, the Marketing Executive, the Marketing & Digital Executive and the Commercial and Operations teams.
· Ensure that all marketing activity, at a central and local level, is delivered within budget constraints and that all projects deliver maximum value for money.
· Ensure that all activity implemented is analysed and evaluated accurately.
Local Marketing
· Management of the Marketing Executive responsible for multiple, fast turnaround, local site requirements of PoS and local advertising.
· Manage the marketing needs for new site acquisitions and major refurbishments (with support from the Marketing Executive).
· National travel around the Tenpin estate is essential and forms part of the role.
Category Management – Food and Beverage
· Work with the Food & Beverage Consultants and Operations team, to improve ancillary spend within the category.
· Direct responsibility for the marketing of the food function via menus, in site PoS and promotion via the digital channels.
· Oversee the Marketing Executive’s work with beverage suppliers to develop and manage a rolling monthly schedule for national beverage promotions, in line with business needs.
Research and Customer Insight
· Develop and maintain an understanding of retail, leisure, and entertainment competitors - online and offline.
· Visit Tenpin sites regularly to understand customers and their journey better.
Key skills:
· Strong project and campaign management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise multiple projects across online and offline channels.
· Ability to work well within a small, busy team and work across projects with shared responsibilities.
· Confident marketer, with an ability to persuade and influence at all levels.
· Good understanding of design, print, and digital processes.
· Copywriting, editing and proof reading skills are essential.
Key competencies:
· Self sufficient – able to manage yourself and your workload with minimal supervision.
· Project management – tenacity and prioritising of multiple projects, running simultaneously.
· Evaluation and measurement – ability to analyse and interpret business data and build recommendations around statistical evidence.

Qualifications, experience and knowledge:
· Multi site experience in a fast-paced marketing team, preferably within a retail, leisure or FMCG field.
· Experience of managing suppliers and agencies across a range of design, print and digital marketing disciplines.
· Experience of managing a direct report/s is essential.
· A strong understanding of brand management.
· Knowledge of food and beverage category marketing, working with food and beverage suppliers would be ideal, or similar category management.
· Previous experience of working with Microsoft Office applications such as Powerpoint, Word and Excel (essential) and Adobe Software (not essential).
