Description

Texas Health Plano seeks to hire a Speech Language Pathologist to work PRN

The address is 6200 West Parker Road Plano, TX 75093

Salary range is Min. $33.32/hr to Max. $50.56/hr – based on relevant experience

Hours/Schedule

PRN (as needed) working Monday-Saturday 8:30A-5:00P will be needed for call rotation Sunday's (must be at the hospital with in 30 minutes while on call)

Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care

Obtains/verifies physician order for therapy and validates for appropriateness

Reviews available medical records and obtains pertinent medical history from patient or family

Ensures that patient has given informed consent to treatment

Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis appropriate assessment tests and measurements, including appropriate outcome assessment tool(s)

Education

Master's Degree Speech Language Pathology Required

Or

Other Post-Baccalaureate degree recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Required

Experience

Acute care Preferred

MBS experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire Required

Or

SLP-I - Speech Language Pathology Intern Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire Required

SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire Preferred

And

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support with in 60 Days of hire Required

Skills
