Thatchers Hotel is a charming Tudor-style property set in the heart of the Surrey countryside. Featuring 87 guest rooms, two meeting and function rooms, and a newly refurbished bar and restaurant.
As a Public Area Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene of all guest-facing and communal areas across the hotel. Your work will help create a positive first impression and ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
What you will be doing as our
Public Area Cleaner:- Cleaning and maintaining reception areas, lobbies, lounges, corridors, stairways, public toilets, and meeting rooms.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and sanitising designated areas.
- Ensuring washrooms are clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the day.
- Emptying waste bins and disposing of rubbish in line with hotel procedures.
- Replenishing cleaning supplies, toiletries, and consumables.
- Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns promptly.
- Using and storing cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
- Supporting deep cleaning projects when required.
- Responding professionally to guest requests.
- Working closely with colleagues across departments to maintain exceptional hotel standards.
What we are looking for as our
Public Area Cleaner:
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Knowledge of COSHH and cleaning chemicals is advantageous.
- Commitment to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.
