An independent pub company with 2 lovely rural pub restaurants in the southdowns national park.

The Role

We're looking for fun, enthusiastic, passionate people to join our hard-working team here at the Anglesey Arms

You will prepare delicious meals according to our implemented specs, cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and within a timely delivery.

Experience is essential, however training will be provided. We pride ourselves on our level of standards from food safety, kitchen management and delicious food while working with a team of experienced chefs and members of our family here at The Anglesey. We are lucky enough to have a busy kitchen all year round and are looking to expand our team. Not only this time of the year do we offer our main menu items, but we are now serving freshly made sourdough stretched pizzas from our outside bar area within weekends. So the role will/may include getting hands dirty with pizza dough and enjoying being on view, putting on a show with pizzas alongside the outside bar!

Main Responsibilities:

·       Prepares food to specification guide

·       Prepares food before the arrival of guests

·       Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy

·       Adjusts food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns

·       Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature

·       Operates various kitchen appliances

·       Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference

·       Assists other cooks during the food assembly process

·       Ensuring high food hygiene standards

·       Clean down area after service

·       Stock management

·       Any other duties as required

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • A passion for cooking and an eagerness to help others grow within the culinary field.
