About The Antelope

Right in the heart of Tooting, just a short walk from Tooting Broadway, The Antelope is a characterful Victorian pub with a proper place in the local community. Think seasonal British pub classics, brilliant Sunday roasts, perfectly poured pints and a beer garden made for long afternoons that turn into evenings.

There's always something happening, from live sport and quizzes to comedy, music and private celebrations in the pub's ballroom and event spaces. We're looking for a General Manager who loves a proper neighbourhood local, knows how to make regulars feel at home and has the energy and commercial instinct to make the most of a busy food, drink and events offer.

Who we’re looking for

We're after a General Manager who's as passionate about people as they are about pubs. Someone with personality, confidence and a genuine love of hospitality. You'll know how to build a loyal local following, develop a brilliant team and make sure every guest leaves wanting to come back.

You'll be commercially sharp, comfortable running a busy operation and confident taking ownership of everything from the guest experience to the numbers behind the bar.

Most importantly, you'll lead from the front. Whether that's welcoming regulars, getting stuck into a busy Saturday service or coaching your team to be the very best, you'll set the tone for everything that makes The Antelope special.

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience as a General Manager or a strong Deputy General Manager ready for the next step.
• A genuine passion for great pubs, quality food, excellent drinks and brilliant hospitality.
• A natural ability to lead, inspire and develop a team that loves what they do.
• Strong commercial awareness, with a good understanding of sales, labour, stock and profitability.
• The confidence to drive local marketing, build relationships and make The Antelope a real part of the community.
• A hands-on approach, bags of personality and the ability to keep your cool when things get busy.
• A real sense of ownership and pride in your pub, your people and the experience you create.
