The Arts Club Dubai is perfectly located in the heart of the DIFC, set over four floors and totaling 65,000 square feet, in the brand-new ICD Brookfield Place development designed by Foster + Partners.

It is the first international outpost of the celebrated and historical private members’ club, established in 1863 in Mayfair, London. The Club’s membership is a growing community of like-minded, diverse and dynamic people, all hailing from different cultures and sectors, from the region and further afield.

Receiving/Store Officer is responsible for handling purchase orders, receiving and storing the items in respective areas/outlets, while ensuring that items arriving in the Club are with proper authorization. 


WHAT WILL YOU DO

Your main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Adhere and enforce all procedures for the stores, cellar and loading bay
  • Supervise the loading, unloading and dispatching of delivery trucks
  •  Load and unload at the point of pick-up, delivery or distribution when necessary
  • Keep loading docks and materials and supplies in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Pack, unpack, count, weigh and measure materials, supplies and equipment upon receipt
  • Receive and inspect that all goods are received as per specifications as to weight, trim, count, quality and correct packaging that it has been properly invoiced
  • Inspect the quality and freshness of fruits & vegetables on daily basis with Chef
  • Check materials received against invoices and notes breakage and discrepancies in quantity or quality
  • Check the delivery notes and invoices from suppliers against quotations, Purchase Orders and Daily Market Lists
  • Ensure that the deliveries of goods by suppliers are consistent with the receiving schedule
  • Ensure that all invoices are stamped and signed by the Receiving Officer before forwarding it to Cost Controller
  • Collect items ordered, from the goods receiving area when they are delivered, signing the delivery note to show that the goods have been handed over in full and transport to department for storage
  • Ensure that all paperwork is passed to the Purchasing Manager and Cost Controller at the end of each shift
  • Verify Daily Receiving Report according to invoices
  • Control of daily delivery documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Ensure all daily documentation is processed and accurate
  • Keep daily records, file and prepare reports
  • Expedite any outstanding purchase orders
  • Build up a good rapport with the Purchasing team and Head Chefs
  • Ensure that all materials and supplies and storerooms itself are maintained in neat and orderly condition
  • Ensure that the health department requirements on cleanliness and storage procedures are adhered to
  • Assist in the preparation of data for departmental reports, inventory or studies
  • Assist in implementing system setup and internal control procedures
  • Commit to delivering high levels of customer service 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in same or similar role in luxury hotels
  • Excellent level of English, written and spoken
  • Alcohol and food items handling experience
  • Ability to thoroughly check and verify deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, and quality standards (FIFO/FEFO, temperature control, expiry checks)   
  • Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and storage requirements  
  • Efficient in maintaining accurate records, filing delivery notes, and updating inventory systems.  
  • Comfortable with lifting, moving, and inspecting stock in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Honest handling of stock, prevention of pilferage, and responsibility for received goods.
  • Able to coordinate effectively with suppliers, kitchen staff, and management. 
  • Ensures prompt receiving to avoid delays in operations.
  • Experience with inventory software, spreadsheets, or ERP systems is an advantage.  
  • Works well with purchasing, stores, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Previous background in receiving, warehousing, or F&B operations preferred.
