The Income Auditor is responsible for
verifying and reconciling daily revenue transactions to ensure the accuracy and
integrity of financial data. They review income reports, audit daily cash and
credit card transactions, and ensure compliance with company policies and
accounting standards. The role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate
financial reporting and supporting management decisions.
WHAT WILL YOU DOYour main duties and responsibilities are:
- Audit Daily Revenue:
- Verify and reconcile all revenue sources (rooms, food &
beverage, spa, other outlets) from the property management and
point-of-sale systems.
- Ensure all revenues are correctly recorded in the accounting
system.
- Cash and Credit Verification:
- Audit cashier reports, credit card settlements, and bank
deposits.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies, reporting any
irregularities immediately.
- Posting & Reconciliation:
- Ensure all revenue journals are correctly posted to the
general ledger.
- Reconcile daily revenue against system reports and supporting
documents.
- Compliance & Internal Control:
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies,
procedures, and controls.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and distribute daily
revenue reports to management.
- Support monthly closing by
providing accurate revenue figures and reconciliations.
- Liason:
- Coordinate with operational
departments to resolve revenue discrepancies.
- Assist internal and external
auditors during audits.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORThe successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,
Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in
accounting or auditing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting
principles and financial controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software
(e.g., Opera, Micros, Sun System, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and
analytical skills.
- Good communication and
interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and
meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
