Description

The Arts Club Dubai will be perfectly located in the heart of the DIFC, set over four floors and totalling 65,000 square feet, in the brand new ICD Brookfield Place development designed by Foster + Partners.

It will be the first international outpost of the celebrated and historical private members’ club, established in 1863 in Mayfair, London. The Club’s brand new membership will form an exciting new community of like-minded, diverse and dynamic people, all hailing from different cultures and sectors, from the region and further afield.

A lifestyle for its members

The Club will provide its members with a home away from home: a sanctuary for those seeking comfort, hospitality and elegance, with a level of quality, service and attention to detail that will leave them wanting for nothing.

It will also be an office away from the office, where members seeking a more relaxed environment in which to conduct business can do so at ease, either in a social and convivial setting or in a more private and secluded space.

POSITION PURPOSE

As a Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for upholding the exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation that define The Arts Club. Leading a dedicated team, you will ensure that all areas of the club, from public spaces to private rooms, are impeccably maintained. Special attention will be placed on preserving the quality of our high-end textiles, fabrics, and furnishings, ensuring that they are cared for using the most appropriate cleaning methods and materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DAILY DUTIES

  • You will supervise, train, and inspire the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding cleanliness and organisation in every area of the club.
  • You will ensure that all luxurious fabrics, such as drapes, upholstery, and delicate linens, are treated with the utmost care. You will also implement specialized cleaning and care procedures to preserve the quality and longevity of these materials.
  • You will source and select the best chemicals and cleaning agents specifically designed for use on high-end textiles, fabrics, and furnishings.
  • You will ensure that all products are safe, effective, and appropriate for luxury materials.
  • You will regularly inspect all areas to guarantee the highest levels of cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
  • You will manage the club’s laundry services, ensuring that uniforms and linens are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. This includes overseeing any third-party laundry providers and ensuring efficient, timely service.
  • You will monitor and manage housekeeping supplies, including cleaning products, linens, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining the club’s standards of quality.
  • You will work closely with other department heads to ensure seamless service, particularly for special events or member requests.
  • You will manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring efficiency without compromising on quality.
  • You will handle any Member inquiries or complaints related to housekeeping, resolving them with the highest level of service.
  • You will ensure all housekeeping activities comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for members and staff alike.
  • You will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the floral displays throughout the club’s public areas, ensuring they are refreshed regularly and always contribute to the elegant atmosphere. This includes coordinating with florists to source high-quality flowers that align with the aesthetic of The Arts Club.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in the care and maintenance of high-end textiles, fabrics, and furnishings.
  • Knowledge of floral arrangement maintenance and the ability to manage their presentation in public areas.
