Description


The Bancroft, part of the Webber Restaurant Group, located in Burlington, MA is looking to hire an experienced Restaurant Manager to be part of the management team that leads our team and ensures the efficient operation of our restaurant. 

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have a passion for the restaurant industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record working in high volume restaurants.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and staffing.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary restaurant environment
  • Maintain excellent customer service and respond to customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic
  • Exudes a high level of hospitality to our guests and employees.
  • Hires, trains and develops new hourly team members.
  • Optimizes profits by building sales and assisting with the control of food, labor and beverage costs.
  • Provides leadership and direction to all team members - coaches in real time.
  • Craft cocktail, wine and beer knowledge a plus.
  • Proven track record as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager of a full-service restaurant.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills. Must show that they are confident in their abilities, and be a proactive, motivated leader.  
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and staffing
  • Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant technology
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30lbs
