Job Summary:

The Polisher is responsible for ensuring that all glassware, silverware, and tableware used in the dining area are spotless, polished, and ready for service. This position supports the front-of-house team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation that reflect the restaurant’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carefully polish and inspect all cutlery, glassware, and chinaware to ensure they are spotless and streak-free.
  • Handle delicate items with care to avoid breakage or damage.
  • Organize and store polished items in designated areas for easy access by service staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in polishing and storage areas.
  • Follow proper hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down service areas when needed.
  • Communicate any shortages or breakages to supervisors promptly.
  • Support other back-of-house duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a fine-dining or hospitality setting preferred but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift and carry trays of glassware and dishes (up to 50lbs).
