Golf Shop

Our Golf Shop team are experts in helping golfers of all abilities, providing advice, demonstrations, and a welcoming shopping experience that reflects the prestige of The Belfry. Working here means being part of a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment where passion for golf meets outstanding customer service.

 

The base annual rate for this role is £27,639 per annum, plus service charge.

 

 

About the role

As the retail supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the organisation and delivery of the golf retail operation within The Belfry. Taking ownership to deliver an exceptional retail and golf check-in experience to all customers. Ensuring all revenue streams are maximised capitalising on revenue opportunities. Championing customer service by exceeding customers’ expectations through consistently high professional standards of service. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

·         Lead by example by providing a warm welcome to clientele whilst striving to provide outstanding service. Maintaining consistent guest satisfaction through collating guest feedback and communicating this with the team, implementing changes or training where necessary

·         Supporting the inventory controller on the retail stock operation by overseeing the receiving, handling, replenishment and stock taking of the inventory

·         To directly deal with problems, enquiries and complaints from guests and members. Keeping the golf management team updated where required.

·         Implement regular and effective pre shift briefing and de-briefing sessions with the team.

·         Supporting head professional with additional retail at the academy

·         Oversee the custom fit after sales service liaising closely with the golf academy team

·         Further develop corporate merchandise offering and sales in collaboration with golf sales team

 

 

About you

The ideal candidate will be experienced in golf retail either as part of a Golf Club or standalone sports business and experienced in leading a team within a busy retail environment.  You will also be able to:

·         Provide leadership, direction and support to the employees of the golf retail department to develop a highly motivated and engaged team, who can deliver excellent standards of service in all areas

·         Demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills

·         Be passionate about working in a high-quality retail environment that celebrates individual and team success
