An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PR Manager to join the PR Team for The Birley Clubs based in Mayfair, London.
The Birley Clubs operate some of the world’s most iconic private members’ clubs; Annabel’s, Mark’s Club, George, Harry’s Bar and Bath & Racquets Club.
As PR Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance the brand's reputation, visibility, and engagement with key stakeholders.
Working closely with the Head of Press and the PR Director, you will oversee campaigns that highlight our brand’s unique offerings, manage high-profile events, and foster meaningful media and stakeholder relationships. Working confidently within the full breadth of the Press landscape, with excellent contacts and a focus on qualitative results.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Planning:
- Execute strategic PR plans aligned with The Birley Clubs' brand objectives and business goals.
- Develop calendars, thinking ahead and managing the timeline.
- Identify key messaging themes and narratives to regularly promote the clubs' unique offerings, events, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Head of Press & PR Director to align department strategies with broader marketing and business strategies.
Press & Media:
- Nurture existing relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers and influencers across print, digital, and broadcast media. Key focus on Press and community in London, but also the international landscape and targeted travel media.
- Develop compelling written and visual content, press releases, feature articles, collaborating with the wider Communications team including Marketing & Content to ensure aligned communications.
- Proactively pitch stories, press releases and content to secure positive media coverage for The Birley Clubs, with strong attention to delivering qualitative coverage.
- Monitor media coverage and sentiment with the team, monitoring results in a timely manner and adapting strategy where needed. Responding promptly to media inquiries.
- Support the team with crisis communications, flagging issues to management immediately.
- Where needed, support the wider communications for The Caring Family Foundation.
Event Management :
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute high-profile events, press previews, and media activations with the PR team, to generate buzz and drive media coverage.
- Coordinate talent and guestlists for events end-to-end, with contacts for the relevant London community. Handling these relationships with care.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless event execution and maximize media exposure.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders- Birley Clubs members, industry influencers, community leaders and corporate partners.
- Represent The Birley Clubs at industry events, conferences and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and forge strategic partnerships. Always acting as an ambassador for the brand.
Performance Measurement:
- Track and analyse PR metrics, including media coverage, reach, sentiment, and impact on brand awareness and reputation. Providing feedback and recommendations.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management, evaluating the effectiveness of PR strategies and inform future initiatives.
Team:
- Collaborate with the wider PR team, supporting the PR Director, working closely with the PR Manager & PR Executive. Always working with a team mentality.
- Cultivate relationships with the wider Head Office teams, Club Directors and their teams.
- Maintain systems, trackers and calendars as part of the PR team.
- Supporting The Caring Family Foundation.
We are ideally looking for candidates who have:
- Previous experience in PR, preferably within the hospitality, luxury or entertainment industry.
- A clear understanding of the domestic and international media landscape, and the evolving landscape to include social media and influencers.
- Great contacts with Press and talent teams.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.
- Able to work under pressure, with the ability to be reactive and flexible in a fast paced,
- multi-faceted environment.
- Excellent people skills, a team player with a collaborative and positive nature.
- Always professional, acting as an ambassador for the brand.
