We’re looking for a Senior Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the maintenance and facilities function across our diverse portfolio of bars, restaurants, venues, and residential properties.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations and CEO, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all sites are safe, compliant, and running smoothly - from day-to-day fixes to long-term asset planning. You’ll manage contractors, oversee budgets, and lead projects, but also won’t hesitate to pick up the tools and get stuck in when something needs doing.
This is a pivotal role for someone who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach. You’ll be deeply embedded in the operation, supporting site teams, troubleshooting issues quickly, and driving a culture of high standards and accountability across the estate.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all maintenance and facilities activity across our commercial and residential properties. Lead, mentor, and support the maintenance team while working closely with GMs, Head Chefs, and Operations.
Manage contractors and suppliers to ensure quality, efficiency, and value for money.
Take a hands-on approach - attending sites, diagnosing problems, and carrying out minor repairs where needed.
Develop and maintain a robust preventative maintenance (PPM) and compliance schedule across all sites.
Ensure all properties meet statutory and health & safety requirements (fire safety, gas, electrical, water hygiene, etc.).
Plan and oversee refurbishment works, capital improvements, and reactive maintenance.
Manage budgets and approve quotes, balancing cost control with operational quality.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure consistent standards, safety, and presentation.
Work with landlords, surveyors, and local authorities where required.
Support new venue openings and refurbishment projects from concept through to completion.
About You
5+ years’ experience in a senior maintenance or facilities management role, ideally within hospitality or mixed-use property.
Strong technical knowledge across building systems, compliance, and maintenance best practice.
Hands-on and proactive - happy to get involved in practical repairs and callouts when needed.
Confident managing contractors and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Skilled in budgeting, reporting, and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to build trust across teams and influence at all levels.
Flexible, reliable, and responsive to operational needs - including occasional out-of-hours support.
What We Offer
Competitive salary
50% discount across the group
Opportunities to grow within a creative, independent, expanding hospitality group
Autonomy to shape the maintenance function and make a real impact
