Starting
out in your chef career? Join The Boars Head as a Chef – full training,
a supportive brigade and a share of the service charge.
The Boars Head is a country gastropub tucked away in the Cheshire countryside
near Nantwich – open log fires, a dog-friendly beer garden and the kind of
welcome that keeps guests coming back. Our kitchen serves hearty pub classics
made with fresh ingredients and plenty of care – like our Chicken, Gammon &
Leek Pie and Sunday roasts every week.
Here's what we offer:
• Up to £13.50 per hour (Approx. £1,730 every 4-weeks or £22,460 pa)
• Shared Service charge (Avg. £4,990 pa)
• Total Potential Package = £27,450 per year
• Part time – 32 hours a week: solid, regular hours with a better work-life
balance
• Full training – learn every section of the kitchen
Our hourly rates: up to £13.50 (21+), £10.85–£11.50 (18–20), £8.00 (under 18).
The role
You'll learn from experienced chefs, build your skills across different sections
and be supported every step of the way to grow into a Chef de Partie.
What you'll be doing:
• Prepping ingredients and supporting your section
• Learning to cook our dishes to spec
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and food safe
• Helping the team through busy services
What we're looking for:
• A real passion for food – experience is a bonus, not essential
• Eager to learn and take on feedback
• Reliable, positive and a great team player
• Ambition to build a career in the kitchen
