Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensures that the tables are set to the correct standard with all equipment spotlessly clean and polished.
• Ensures that each station is set up and fully stocked and that it is maintained to a clean and tidy state.
• Is totally familiar with all menu items available.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests to the correct standard, up selling when appropriate.
• Ensures that all orders are delivered as quickly as possible and to the correct standard.
• Follows up with dining guest at the appropriate time and handles any special request promptly.
• Clears promptly all used crockery, cutlery and glassware at each stage of the meal to the correct standard.
• Offers and assists guest with service of hot and cold items from the Buffet when appropriate.
• Assists with Silver Service of catering functions.
• Performs duties as required for catering functions in the Library, the Boardroom, the Pavilion and room service.
• Answers the restaurant’s telephone when required, to company standards, taking reservations and/or messages.
