Purpose & Scope
The Content Specialist will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality programming and content across The Conduit’s impact partnerships. You will support the development of bespoke events, including round tables, conferences, and co-curated sessions with a focus on research, speaker preparation, and thematic curation within specific industry sectors.

Responsibilities & Key Duties

  • Support content development for partner-led programming including round tables, conferences, and co-curated events.
  • Leads the development of strategic partnership concept notes aligned with the overarching delivery strategy of each partner, ensuring they effectively position and mobilise impact partners to drive measurable outcomes for each event
  • Lead the speaker confirmation and briefing process for selected partners, working closely with the Senior Partnerships Manager and The Conduit’s Impact Programme team.
  • Conduct research and provide thematic insight into key industry trends relevant to assigned partners, helping shape content direction.
  • Act as liaison between the Partnerships and Impact Programme teams to align partner content with The Conduit’s wider calendar and narrative.
  • Draft speaker briefs, talking points, and session outlines to ensure high-quality partner sessions.
  • Coordinate internal content timelines to ensure delivery of agreed programming milestones.
  • Manage the guest list development and invitation creation process for custom partner events, in collaboration with the wider team.
  • Manage the audience development process for Conduit Live conferences, ensuring the right audience attends each conference to achieve event objectives

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 years in a content development, programming, editorial, or research role, ideally in a social impact, sustainability, media, or events environment.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated ability to support content creation and speaker coordination for events or campaigns.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Environmental Studies, or related fields.
  • Research Skills: Strong ability to source, synthesise, and present relevant insights on sector trends, speakers, and themes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience using content planning tools (e.g. Notion, Monday.com) is a plus.
  • Writing & Editing: Strong command of written English, with experience drafting briefs, speaker notes, or editorial content.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with current topics in social change, business and sustainability, or impact investing is desirable.
