Description

Company Overview

The Conduit serves as a home for people passionate about achieving positive social, environmental and economic change. Our community shares our belief that world’s most pressing problems are better understood as opportunities waiting for entrepreneurial solutions. The Conduit’s mission is to convene a collaborative community that scales and accelerates solutions to the world’s greatest challenges and provide its community with a physical home, with industry leading sustainable and ethical hospitality, where creativity and innovation can flourish. Our members are from all over the world, from all sectors and industries and are representative of the world we live in.

At The Conduit, we are more than a members club—we’re a global platform for social and environmental progress. Our digital channels are where our story unfolds, our values resonate, and our ideas travel. We’re looking for a bold, strategic, and deeply creative Senior Manager of Social Media to lead the charge in building a social presence that inspires action, drives awareness, and reflects the vibrancy of our community.

This is a high-impact role for someone who sees social media not just as a distribution channel, but as a storytelling engine—where journalism, brand building, and cultural energy collide. If you’ve built impactful social strategies rooted in editorial integrity and creative experimentation—and you care deeply about the future of people and the planet—we’d love to talk.

Role Summary

As Senior Manager of Social Media, you will lead The Conduit’s content and publishing strategy across all social platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook and beyond. You will sit at the intersection of editorial and marketing—translating our brand mission, live programming, and thought leadership into content that educates, excites, and builds connection.

You will oversee a lean internal studio and freelance network responsible for two core areas:

1.       Capturing and repackaging our live programming into platform-specific content.

2.       Developing original, social-native formats that spotlight our people, ideas, and values.

You will own the production pipeline and content calendar for all social output—collaborating closely with the Editorial Director and Marketing Director to ensure alignment across channels, campaigns, and objectives. Whether it's launching a new video series, designing Instagram carousels, or reformatting a keynote for TikTok, you're fluent in both the creative craft and operational execution required to publish at a high level.

This role is hands-on, experimental, and vital to evolving The Conduit into a globally recognized convening brand—synonymous with impact, community, and optimism.

Key Responsibilities

Social Strategy & Content Leadership

  • Develop and execute The Conduit’s multi-platform social media strategy with distinct goals, voice, and tactics for each channel.
  • Translate editorial and marketing priorities into social-first formats that drive awareness, engagement, and growth.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between brand, editorial, and marketing—ensuring social content reflects and amplifies the company’s broader goals.

Content Calendar & Production Pipeline

  • Create and manage an integrated content calendar that spans both editorial and marketing publishing efforts.
  • Design and oversee a production pipeline that keeps content flowing from ideation to publication across all platforms.
  • Ensure all published content meets deadlines, brand guidelines, and performance expectations.

Studio & Creative Oversight

  • Manage and inspire a small in-house content studio, including videographers, editors, and designers, as well as freelance contributors.
  • Lead the post-production and packaging of live event footage for social distribution—turning real-world moments into standout digital stories.
  • Develop original social-native formats and series (video, image, motion, carousel, story) that highlight our members, speakers, ideas, and mission.

Innovation & Platform Fluency

  • Balance editorial depth with algorithmic savvy—staying true to brand values while creating content that cuts through on each platform.
  • Embrace experimentation and inject personality and playfulness into content where appropriate.
  • Stay on top of social trends, visual styles, and emerging formats to keep our content fresh and relevant.

AI & Workflow Optimisation

  • Identify and implement AI tools that streamline content production, while maintaining high editorial standards and human oversight.
  • Continually optimize workflows to improve efficiency, creative output, and collaboration.

Performance & Growth

  • Define success metrics and track performance across platforms, using data to guide strategy and improve effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to support content marketing objectives—including newsletter growth and membership conversion.
  • Engage with followers and build an influential network on each platform.
  • Help develop platform-specific influencer strategies with head of marketing

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years leading content or social strategy at a purpose-driven brand, creative studio, media outlet, or nonprofit.
  • Proven success creating high-quality, high-performing social content—particularly short-form video and visual storytelling.
  • Proven experience of organically growing a social audience – in particular on LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Experience overseeing content calendars, production pipelines, and cross-functional collaboration across editorial and marketing.
  • Strong creative instincts, visual literacy, and editorial judgment—with the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging formats.
  • Hands-on familiarity with tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Canva, CapCut, and social publishing platforms.
  • A deep commitment to and understanding of social and environmental impact work—ideally with experience in or around sustainability-focused content brands
  • A leadership style that is collaborative, energized, organized, and mission-driven.
  • A global mindset and appetite to build a brand that reaches beyond borders and platforms
