Role Summary
Following the promotions of two of our Impact Partnerships team directors, The Conduit is seeking (2) highly motivated and experienced Business Development Managers for the Impact Partnerships Team. These roles will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with new global partners, including corporations, foundations, and government agencies, to develop and execute impactful and innovative programs and initiatives that address social and environmental challenges. Responsibilities will include driving new client acquisition from pipeline generation to close as well developing existing client relationships. You will drive top-line revenue growth and provide strong leadership, project management, and direction to potential partners. You will work as part of a cross-departmental team to support the generation of new business across the company.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver end-to-end process of partnership acquisition including prospecting, cultivating, negotiating, and managing new partner relationships.
• Lead strategic market analysis to identify new prospects and ensure a robust pipeline of leads valued at a minimum of £50,000
• Act as an ambassador and advocate for The Conduit's mission and values, representing the organisation at conferences, events, and other public forums.
• Ensure that outstanding account management is delivered to engage partners, maximise partnership opportunities and ensure renewals.
• Work closely with internal teams including programming, membership, communications, and operations to ensure key deliverables are met (events, high level dinners, tailored introductions, content, brand-aligned materials).
• Track and analyse partnership performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership and recommending adjustments to the partnership strategy as needed.
• Actively champions and promote The Conduit Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Extensive experience in business development, sales, partnership development and strategic alliances with a proven track record of success in social impact and sustainability focused organisations.
• A minimum of 7 years of business development / sales experience in an enterprise sales environment and enjoys hunting for new business.
• You are able to qualify leads and opportunities quickly, focusing on a thorough sales process, making data-driven decisions
• Strong network of contacts and relationships in the corporate and/or sustainability sector globally.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of partners
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage and deliver multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required by the role.
• Entrepreneurial, commercial mindset, and an outstanding communicator in the full range of contexts.
