Assistant Restaurant Manager

We are a family run 4 star hotel set it the beautiful Hertfordshire Countryside, we are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to assist in the management of our Cowshed Restaurant. Working within an excellent team you will be responsible for implementing service standards, managing the day to day running of the venues, monitoring rotas and costs and stock percentages.

The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager will involve:

  • Management of the venues so that all guests receive excellent standards of customer service throughout.
  • Meeting and greeting guests.
  • Leading shifts, including training and motivating the team.
  • Achieving budgetary targets and making recommendations for development.
  • Liaising effectively with the Kitchen and Head Chefs regarding menus and upcoming bookings.
  • Dealing with customer queries and issues.
  • Monitoring rotas on a daily basis
  • Ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Requirements for Assistant Restaurant Manager:

  • The successful candidate must have previous hospitality supervisory experience, experience within a 4* 2 rosette property will be a distinct advantage.
  • Candidates must enjoy being a “hands-on” member of a team. All applicants must have a flexible approach to their work and be willing to work the hours required of the business.
  • An excellent standard of presentation is essential.
  • Our managers work a variety of shifts, on any 5 days from 7, on any day of the year.
