The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa Bahrain is ideally located in the heart of the city’s commercial and diplomatic area with 245-keys as well as 121 Residence unit. The hotel also have one of the largest convention center in the city as well as 15 meeting rooms as well as six restaurants and bars. The Diplomat Garden with 3 swimming pools, the extensive The Diplomat Spa, s state-of-the-art gym and an exclusive Ladies’ only Spa & Gym are part of the hotel’s facilities to make every moment matter!  Two newly renovated dining venues are waiting for your touches and creativity skills!

Key Responsibilities of Director of Sales:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the sales department, where all aspects of the hotel’s pro-active sales initiatives are delivered and total revenue maximised, ensuring both property and corporate standards are attained and adhered to.
  • Work proactively to maximize the guest satisfaction and comfort, deliver a positive and responsive approach to enquiries.
  • Develop and implement strategies where key sales metrics are identified, communicated and delivered and tracking tools are effectively maintained in line with defined initiatives & targets.
  • Effectively manage the life cycle of the team within the department, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance whilst promoting the company culture and values.
  • Prepare the smart departmental objectives and destructively pursue to achieve.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders and partners both internal and external ensuring all communications/activities are controlled and undertaken on a timely manner.
  • Review and scrutinize the business performance, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, perform follow-up as required

 

Requirements of Director of Sales:

  • Proven track record to lead the sales department, ideally in 5* hotels.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a lead-by-examples work style.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Department Head.
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion of “Yes I Can” hospitality spirit
  • Ability to find creative solutions, offer advice and recommendations 
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office software, especially in Excel and other sales tools
