We’re looking for an Food & Beverage Assistant that brings energy, curiosity and a can-do spirit. Someone who loves the buzz of service and the joy of making someone’s day. 

Situated on King’s Lynn’s historic Tuesday Market Place, the Dukes Head Hotel is a thriving food and beverage destination. Our popular restaurant, lively bar, stylish Massey Bar and versatile event rooms serve a constant mix of residents, local guests and private functions. From bustling service periods to high-profile events, the hotel offers a dynamic and fast‑paced environment at the heart of the town.

How you'll bring the magic to the floor as our Food & Beverage Assistant

  • Has a positive, can‑do attitude towards customers and other team.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning about all things food and drink — including spirits, wines, cocktails, and delivering the “perfect serve”.
  • A willingness to understand different food styles and service standards, learn the menus, and confidently explain dishes to customers.
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with guests in a lively, fast‑paced environment.
  • The ability to deliver great service — taking orders, serving food and drink, processing payments, and ensuring every guest has an excellent experience.
  • Commitment to meeting site service standards and working effectively as part of the team.
  • A developing or good understanding of preparing coffees and serving alcohol and wine in both bar and restaurant settings.
  • Availability to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a pro‑rata basis.
  • A willingness to continue your development through in‑house and external training sessions.
