A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEETING AND EVENTS ASSOCIATE AT THE EDINBURGH GRAND 

What you'll be doing...

  • Deliver seamless meetings and events, ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard from setup to breakdown.
  • Welcome event organisers and guests with a professional and friendly approach, acting as a key point of contact throughout their event.
  • Set up meeting and event spaces according to specifications, including layout, AV equipment, and catering requirements.
  • Liaise closely with clients, understanding their needs and adapting quickly to any last-minute changes.
  • Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery during events.
  • Monitor event progress, proactively resolving any issues to maintain a flawless guest experience.
  • Ensure all event spaces are clean, organised, and reset efficiently for upcoming functions.
  • Support with food and beverage service during events when required, maintaining high presentation and service standards.  

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • A professional and enthusiastic attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional events and guest experiences.
  • Previous experience in meetings & events, hospitality, or customer service is beneficial, but a proactive mindset is just as important.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring every event runs smoothly.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with guests, clients, and team members.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach, ready to adapt to the varied and fast-paced nature of events.
  • A team-oriented mindset, supporting colleagues to deliver outstanding service at every stage of the event.
