The Role
The Bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu
items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. The bartender will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize
proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.

The Requirements
As a Barback/Bar Assistant, we would love you to have:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-years experience required
Meets state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol
Dependability-job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Assisting with opening and closing duties, such restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that Bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc
Ensuring bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs or changing out kegs, if needed
Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
Perform bussing responsibilities such as clearing empty cups and trash from bar top and tables
Learning about menu items and memorizing cocktail recipes; assist bartender while learning to navigate the POS
Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties

The Elk Room is Atlas Restaurant Group’s speakeasy-style cocktail bar located in Baltimore’s Harbor East neighborhood. Featuring inventive cocktails crafted by bar manager Andrew Nichols such as the Fool’s Gold and the Skull & Bones. The Elk Room pairs its cocktails with a whimsical menu of crave-able bar snacks such as tacos, wild boar nachos, venison tartare and rabbit corndogs by Tagliata’s executive chef Julian Marucci.
