The Falstaff, Canterbury

Join Our Team

We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and enthusiastic Housekeeper to join the team at The Falstaff, Canterbury.

If you take pride in creating welcoming, immaculate spaces and enjoy working as part of a friendly, supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.

About Us

The Falstaff is a historic former coaching inn dating back to 1403, with many of its original features beautifully preserved. Located just metres from Canterbury's iconic Westgate Towers and only a two-minute walk from the city centre, we offer a collection of individually designed bedrooms and suites.

Alongside our accommodation, guests can enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea and expertly crafted cocktails in our stylish bar.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in housekeeping
  • Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality
  • Positive, proactive, and happy to roll up their sleeves
  • A great team player with strong communication skills
  • Proud of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

What We Offer

  • Opportunities for personal and professional development, including food and drink training and events
  • Generous discounts on food and accommodation at our sister hotel in nearby Rye
  • 5.6 weeks' annual leave (pro rata)
  • A welcoming, friendly, and passionate team environment
  • The opportunity to work in one of Canterbury's most distinctive historic hotels

Diversity

The Falstaff, Canterbury is proud to be an equal opportunities workplace that seeks to recruit, develop, and train the most talented people from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We therefore encourage applications from all genders, races, religions, ages, and sexual orientation, as well as parents, students, people living with disabilities, and any other groups that could bring diverse perspectives to our business.

Only those eligible to work in the UK or have a valid UK work permit/visa will be considered for the position. Experience is not essential; we are seeking creative people with a “can do” attitude and commitment to what we do.
