Job title –Weekend Breakfast Chef
Location – The Falstaff, Canterbury

 

We are seeking a confident Weekend Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen at The Falstaff, Canterbury.

 

Who are we:

The Falstaff occupies a former coaching inn dating back 1403, with many original features still present. Just meters from the medieval West gate towers and a 2 minutes’ walk from the centre of Canterbury, the Falstaff offers a selection of individually decorated rooms and suites.
Guests can also enjoy breakfast & afternoon tea, as well as a stylish cocktail bar.

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Weekend Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and take responsibility for delivering a high-quality breakfast service every Saturday and Sunday.  (with periodical holiday cover during the week)

You’ll be preparing and cooking a range of breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard, while ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised and fully prepared throughout service. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking breakfast dishes
  • Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation throughout service
  • Managing your section efficiently during busy periods
  • Ensuring food is prepared safely and in line with food hygiene standards
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well stocked
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure a smooth breakfast service
  • Supporting with preparation and close-down duties as required

  • Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Have a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Confident working independently and managing a busy service  
  • Can-do attitude
  • Team player who communicates well with colleagues
