About us

The Fife Arms was the first hotel venture for Artfarm and impressively won The Times ‘Hotel of The Year’ Award in its first year of opening! The Fife is a Victorian coaching inn situated within the village of Braemar in the magnificent Cairngorms National Park. It brings together Scottish heritage, craftsmanship and culture with world-class contemporary art and a strong sense of community.

Artfam is a “one of a kind” business. With its unique ethos, Artfarm has changed people’s expectations of what a hotel or restaurant can be. That power has come from a team who at every level share the beliefs, passions and ambitions of its founders, Iwan and Manuela Wirth.

The role

To be the ultimate host and role model, exceeding the expectation of our guest experience in every aspect of their stay so that they leave us feeling enriched and engaged in our ethos.

What success looks like…

• Guest Service 

Inspire the team to consistently provide an exceptional guest experience through the delivery of our Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring that every guest feels special and wants to return. 

• Communication

Develop and promote a culture of effective communication throughout the team and the hotel.  

• Budgetary Responsibilities

Contribute to and implement the F&B strategy, policies and procedures in order to achieve the desired budgets and margins.  

• People Development and Management 

Recruit, train, develop and manage a successful team, ensuring that we bring out the best in our people. 

• Health & Safety

Maintain and promote a safe working environment by ensuring that you and your team are adhering to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire & Evacuation procedures, and Licensing Laws.

• Training

Take ownership of your personal development, enhancing your ability to build knowledge and make informed recommendations, whilst supporting the development of your team through on job coaching and mentoring.
