Description

Join our award-winning team at the Fife Arms!

Located in the picturesque village of Braemar, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, the Fife Arms is a 2 MICHELIN Keys awarded boutique 5-star hotel. As a team, we've also been named Aberdeen City & Shire Employer of the Year and recognised in the Staff Matter category at the Northern Star Business Awards, acknowledging our commitment to creating a supportive and rewarding workplace.

We're currently looking for a Ghillie to become part of our passionate and dedicated team.

As a Ghillie, you will be at the heart of the guest experience, acting as host, guide, and storyteller for everything the Fife Arms and the local area have to offer. You will deliver intuitive, personalised service, anticipating guest needs and creating memorable, meaningful experiences that define each guest's stay.

Combining a passion for hospitality with excellent local knowledge and commercial awareness, you will confidently recommend and arrange bespoke experiences, activities, dining, transport, and local partnerships, while identifying opportunities to enhance each guest's journey and maximise revenue through thoughtful upselling.

You will develop expert knowledge of the hotel, local culture, heritage, and experiences, ensuring guests enjoy an authentic and unforgettable stay in one of Scotland's most distinctive luxury destinations.

You'll be surrounded by a team with a creative flair and a passion for brilliant service, all striving to go above and beyond for our guests, colleagues, and community.

Our successful Ghillie will have:

  • Proven experience within a similar luxury hospitality environment.
  • A passion for delivering unique and memorable guest experiences.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative, emotional intelligence, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Strong knowledge of the local area or a genuine enthusiasm to learn about its culture, heritage, and experiences.
  • Commercial awareness with the confidence to make personalised recommendations and identify upselling opportunities.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 experience.
  • The right to work in the UK. We are unable to secure a work visa for this role.

Due to the insurance requirement for leading guided driven guest tours, applicants must be 25 years or older and hold a clean UK driving licence for at least 2 years.

  • Free annual guest experience for you and a plus one
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Free food and drinks whilst on shift
  • Generous Artfarm-wide discounts including our properties in Somerset, Scottish Highlands, London, Los Angeles, New York and Menorca
  • Amazing sports and social events
  • Life Assurance
