Deputy General Manager - £40k + Bonus - Modern British Pub - High Volume - West End

Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled Deputy General Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. With an eclectic mix of properties and new openings to suit your personality and style, this really is an exciting time to join a people focused and progressive operations led business.

A bustling bar & kitchen located just off Carnaby Street in London’s famous West End. The Ganton Arms is a hotspot for tourists and local office workers, whether it's enjoying lunch or after-work drinks and cocktails, there's always something happening and a constant buzz.

The Role

  • As Deputy General Manager you will support the General Manager in all aspects of running the venue as if it were your own business. 
  • Be business savvy and demonstrate great commercial acumen. 
  • Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Be an effective communicator who can lead by example, coach and develop their team
  • Deliver an outstanding experience for our customers by delivering service excellence and demonstrating behaviours in line with our vision and values, acting as a role model for staff members 
  • You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow
  • Have FUN

What we looking for:

  • "Wear your heart on your sleave", take ownership, be bold and run the business as if it's your own
  • Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you
  • You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done
  • Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a manager depending on the property being looked at
  • Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable
  • Superb customer & floor service skills
  • Strong all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction
  • An entrepreneurial flare
  • Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
  • Personal License holder beneficial
