The iconic George Hotel, in Colchester is seeking an experienced General Manager, with strong Food & Beverage leadership to oversee this historic 90+ bedroom property.
With contemporary bar, two tier restaurant, Moroccan-inspired courtyard and Tea-Room, The George's F&B offering is central to its guest experience. We're looking for a GM who is confident leading busy restaurant and bar operations, maintains high standards, and provides a warm, visible presence throughout the hotel.
You'll bring:
Our ideal General Manager:
· Must have experience within a similar role with site and P&L responsibility
· Strong Hospitality Background, with F&B driven experience gained in hotels or high volume restaurants with personality, with proven levels of success collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders
· Excellent management skills; recruiting, performance managing and leading teams
· Commercially astute to monitor and analyse trends, and identify growth opportunities
· Flexible in approach and a ‘Can do, will achieve’ attitude
