This is a great opportunity to take the exciting next step in your hospitality career and work as part of the Kitchen team at The George Hotel, part of Surya Hotels.  We're looking for a Chef De Partie (CDP) to join us as we continue our path for growth and evolvement- it's a really exciting time- with the brand new Health Club about to open, new ventures and menus in development.

The George Hotel, located on Colchester High Street in Essex, has been at the heart of England’s oldest recorded town for over 500 years. The hotel offers 49 heritage rooms and suites, alongside 44 contemporary bedrooms in St Nicholas, and features a welcoming restaurant and bar for guests and locals to enjoy.

We are looking for an enthusiastic CDP Chef that has a true passion for great food with a clear focus on presentation and strength in providing quality service;

Your CDP responsibilities include:

• Assist in the creation, cooking and presentation of the menu items- running your section when fully trained and confident
• Supporting the Head Chef - Working as team to deliver great food to guests in a timely manner
• To carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section- great food, every time!
• Following Food Safety, and Health & Hygiene regulations at all times, including clear up and cleanliness of section/service

• Passionate about food and mouth watering taste combinations
• Determined to deliver the best results, regardless of pressure
• A team player, working well with others to meet the same goal
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Willing to share ideas around improving the customer’s experience- whether that's creating a new sauce or practicing your knife skills!
