A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Revenue professional to join our highly successful and award winning team as an Interim Assistant Revenue Manager, to cover maternity leave, based at The Grand Brighton, working alongside the Director of Revenue at the two hotels within the portfolio, The Grand Brighton and the Richmond Hill Hotel.

Reporting to the Director of Revenue; this position is a key contributor to the hotels' success – responsible for the maximisation of revenue, ensuring that the hotels’ revenue strategy is implemented effectively, as well as generating and analysing analytical reports across all revenue streams in both properties.

Ideal candidates will have previous proven revenue or reservations experience for a minimum of 2 years in a senior role along with experience and understanding of both Individual Reservations and Group Block management within the hospitality or travel industry, preferably in a hotel.
To be successful in your application for the position, you must display the following:
• IT and system knowledge including Opera PMS and Sales & Catering, IDeaS and Excel.
• Previous experience in using a channel management system
• Basic understanding of hotel distributions systems
• Basic understanding of revenue management
• Analytical with an eye for data trends and detail
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly numerate
• Ability to prepare, analyse and use financial information
• Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and prioritise a varied and heavy workload to achieve deadlines

Your main responsibilities as Assistant Revenue Manager will include:
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly statistical and analytical reports and share for rooms, conference & events, spa and F&B.
• Oversee the short/medium and long term selling strategies for multiple hotels. Review the business pickup on a Daily/weekly/Monthly basis and suggest appropriate changes to business strategy.
• Generate strategy meeting packs.
• Support in the facilitating of the strategy meetings. In the absence of Director of Revenue leads Revenue Strategy Meetings.
• Working with the Director of Revenue to ensure IDeaS Forecasting is up to date at all times in order that the correct prices are being quoted – reflecting market demand.
• Manage hotel distribution channels, ensure all channels including online travel agents, GDS and brand websites are correctly loaded and showing the most up to date rates and strategies.
• Work alongside Director of Revenue to ensure all rate strategies are implemented and communicated to hotel team as required.
• Assist in the management of the PMS including rate codes, inventory, allocations and rates to ensure maximum revenues are achieved and no financial discrepancies exist.
• Assist with the management of the integrity and connectivity of all systems and proactively resolve any problems to ensure no impact on revenue or availability.
• Support in the production of end of month and owners reports and weekly rooms forecasts.
• Daily and weekly monitoring of hotels market position, analysing the Market Share reports
• Set up new tracking and reporting documents in Excel and Word as required.

It is anticipated that this role will be for 6-9 months, flexed by a month handover at either end of the contract. Candidates must be available for interview early October and available to start mid November 2020 for a handover with the current Assistant Revenue Manager.
