What you’ll do

 As a Junior Sommelier Waiter, you'll enjoy your work and take pride in delighting our guests:

  • Help guests choose the right wines to enjoy with their meals.
  • Work closely with the Sommelier and the restaurant team.
  • Learn about our wine menu and keep your knowledge up-to-date.
  • Help set up and maintain the wine service area.
  • Make sure guests feel welcome and enjoy their experience.

The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of a Junior Sommelier, but we’ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our hotel.

The operational hours of work are shift-based and may be subjected to change. We are open breakfast, lunch and dinner. The operational hours of work are shift-based.

 

What you’ll bring

 Essential Skills and Experience

  • A friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of wine or a strong interest in learning more about it.
  • Good communication skills—you like talking to people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
  • Organized and able to follow instructions clearly.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience working in a restaurant, bar, or hotel.
  • Any wine training or qualifications, such as WSET Level 1.
  • An interest in food and drinks and how they go together.
  • Confidence in serving guests at a luxury venue.
