Public Area Attendant

The Groucho Club is looking for an enthusiastic Public Area Attendant to be an integral part of our Housekeeping and Facilities team. Our ideal candidate brings proactive energy, a positive can-do attitude, and a friendly personality, alongside the skills that make you an outstanding team member.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public areas of the Club to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times.
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently within the allocated timeframe.
• Restock and replace items provided for guest and member use in public spaces and restrooms.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, empty bins, sanitise surfaces, and ensure hygiene standards are consistently met.
• Clean floors, glass, and hard surfaces to the highest quality standard.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs in public areas, corridors, stairs, and lifts; ensure vacuum cleaner is checked regularly and dust bags replaced as needed.
• Dust, polish, and maintain all fixtures, furniture, and hard surfaces to a professional sheen using approved cleaning chemicals.
• Keep service and storage areas clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.

Skills

• No prior professional cleaning experience? No problem! We are keen to provide full training for the right candidate.
• We value individuals who show initiative, are eager to learn, and can adapt to changes in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Previous cleaning experience is a bonus but not essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain high standards is highly desirable.
• A positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for our members are key.
