About The Groucho Club

Founded in 1985, The Groucho Club is one of London’s most renowned private members’ clubs, bringing together individuals from the creative industries including film, media, arts, publishing, and music.

Located in Soho, the Club provides bars, restaurants, event spaces, and bedrooms exclusively for members and their guests. Discretion, individuality and a relaxed yet professional atmosphere sit at the heart of everything we do.

Housekeeping / Room Attendant

We are looking for a Housekeeping / Room Attendant who takes genuine pride in creating beautiful, welcoming spaces. Someone who understands that it’s not just about cleaning rooms, but about setting the scene for memorable experiences and making our members feel truly at home.

This role is about care, consistency, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate brings a positive, can‑do attitude, a strong work ethic, and a natural sense of ownership over their work. Whether it’s a perfectly made bed, a spotless bathroom, or those thoughtful finishing touches, every detail matters.

Why is this so important? Because the comfort, cleanliness, and atmosphere of our rooms shape how our members feel from the moment they arrive. At The Groucho Club, these details are what make our space unique, welcoming, and unforgettable.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A strong eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Reliable, well‑organised, and proud of delivering consistently great work.
  • Calm and focused, even during busy periods or changing priorities.
  • Discreet and professional, with respect for privacy and guest comfort.
  • A positive team player with a flexible, can‑do attitude.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Competitive salary.
  • 28 days holiday inc. bank holidays, pro-rata.
  • Wagestream to support your financial wellbeing.
  • Nutritious meals made by our team.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Employee Assistance Programme with Hospitality Action.
  • Refer a Friend Scheme – up to £500 to share with your friend!
  • And all the other things that get us excited such as staff parties, food and cocktail tasting and working alongside London’s best members.
