The Groucho Club is on the lookout for an experienced full-time Waiter or Waitress to join our restaurant team and help bring the Club to life for our members. This is not just about service — it’s about hosting.

The Role

As a Waiter or Waitress at Groucho, you are a host first and foremost. You’ll be responsible for creating an atmosphere where members feel recognised, relaxed, and well looked after.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering premium hospitality that consistently meets and exceeds, members’ expectations

• Upholding the Club’s high standards across service and presentation

• Building rapport and genuine relationships with our members

• Ensuring smooth service flow and optimising restaurant capacity

• Serving food and beverages with confidence and care

• Clearing and resetting restaurant spaces to Club standards

• Hosting and delivering Club events and dinners

• Enhancing the member experience by confidently recommending our wider offering

• Supporting reception duties, including welcoming members and assigning tables

What You Bring

• At least 1–2 years’ experience in a hospitality environment

• An outgoing, confident, and engaging personality — comfort with members is key

• Immaculate presentation and pride in your appearance

• A strong understanding of what exceptional service truly looks like

• The ability to juggle multiple tasks with ease

• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
