Restaurant Manager
We are looking for a dynamic, service-led Restaurant Manager to join us at The Harper.
This is not your typical manager role. Think of it as part Maître D’, part service coach, part guest experience creator. You will be the warm welcoming face that sets the dining tone: greeting guests by name, ensuring service flows effortlessly and bringing a real sense of occasion to every dining experience.
You'll be working alongside Executive Chef Jack Gosling, whose culinary journey has taken him from local Norfolk establishments to the two Michelin-starred Spectrum in Amsterdam. Jack brings a unique perspective that blends his deep local roots with world-class international experience, championing an approach to cooking that celebrates Norfolk's incredible seasonal bounty. His collaborative leadership style and commitment to building tight-knit kitchen teams creates an environment where culinary excellence and creativity flourish.
What you’ll be doing:
General Operational Duties:
· Owning the floor – leading every service with confidence, presence and purpose.
· Managing and motivating the front of house team, ensuring standards remain sharp and consistent.
· Holding daily briefings to communicate service priorities, menu updates and guest insights.
· Working closely with the kitchen and hotel team to stay aligned on menu changes and timings.
· Maintain immaculate standards, leading by example and ensuring food safety and health & safety compliance.
· Plan and schedule rotas according to bookings
· Bringing passion and purpose to every service, adding value, insights and joy.
What we are looking for:
· A confident, polished floor presence and love for hospitality.
· Experience in hospitality with good knowledge of food and beverage.
· Strong people and leadership skills, someone who can inspire and direct a team
· Exceptional communication and a genuine passion for food and guest experience
· Sound knowledge of food safety and allergen management
· Calm under pressure and solution focused
· Someone who wants to make a difference and leave their mark
