Sommelier
We are looking for a Sommelier with strong foundational wine knowledge, able to engage guests with confidence and recommend wines they will truly enjoy.
You'll be working alongside the Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef Jack Gosling, whose culinary journey has taken him from local Norfolk establishments to the two Michelin-starred Spectrum in Amsterdam. Jack brings a unique perspective that blends his deep local roots with world-class international experience. And that is where you come in. As Sommelier, you’ll be an essential part of bringing our vision to life on the floor – selecting wines that elevate the guest experience, introducing pairing that feel exciting, not intimidating and adding your own flair to every service.
What you’ll be doing:
General Operational Duties:
· Delivering engaging, approachable wine service with warmth, style and authenticity.
· Guiding guests through the wine list, tailoring recommendations with flair and purpose
· Working closely with the kitchen to develop pairings that enhance seasonal menus.
· Leading training sessions and sharing wine that excites and motivate the team
· Liaise with suppliers to maintain wine standards and support menu development
· Staying up to date on wine trends and continuously expanding your expertise.
What we are looking for:
· Solid foundational wine knowledge -WSET Level 2 or equivalent experience is preferred.
· Passionate, curious and dedicated to growth
· Collaborative and supportive individual that works well with the kitchen and front of house team.
· Natural communicator with impeccable presentation skills who takes pride in their work
