You'll be joining a hardworking kitchen team where no two days are the same and where everyone's contribution matters.

As a Kitchen Assistant at The Hartley Arms, you'll play an important role in supporting our kitchen operation every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of fresh food and ingredients
• Supporting chefs during service periods
• Helping with plating, garnishing and food presentation
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen
• Following food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures
• Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and storage
• Supporting with washing up and cleaning schedules when required
• Ensuring kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly
• Helping maintain a positive, supportive and efficient working environment

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
• Takes pride in doing things properly
• Is organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Has a genuine interest in food and hospitality
• Is willing to learn and develop new skills
• Remains calm and supportive during busy periods
• Brings energy, enthusiasm and a can-do approach

Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right person.
